“Poverty is a vicious cycle which we can only fight together”<\/strong>
\nI was born in Madagascar; a beautiful but unfortunately very poor country . I grew up in this poverty but I was very lucky to be given the chance for a better life. Now, I want to help others in my home country so they also have a chance.<\/p>\n

\nJessica Zimmermann –\u00a0 From my point of view and my experiences:<\/strong>
\nThrough my mum and our annual family visits in Madagascar I have met many malagasy people and I got an insight into their day to day life. At a young age I realized that life is not as easy for everyone as it is for me, in my home in Europe. I also discovered though, that despite their poverty, the Malagasy have a strong will power and do not give up hope for a better life. To support these people my family and I started helping people some years ago. We contacted the orphanage in Fort Dauphin to find out where help was needed. From then onwards we started supplying the children living there food and medical care. Through this work we met the local nuns who gave us more ideas and projects were created, where help was needed.<\/p>\n

This is how throughout the past years, more and more projects have developed. This also meant, that we needed more people on board. This is why my family created our NGO “La Vision”. La Vision has enabled us to reach more people. Through charity events, markets etc. we raise funds to finance our projects. All these events are carried out by volunteers who help us in their free time. So 100% of funds are used for the cause. Without the help of our volunteers and donors all this would not be possible.<\/p>\n

My family and I thank you from all our heart and hope you will also support us in the future.<\/p>\n
