On the 12th December we will have a stall at the Christmas Market in Herschbach. We will be selling homemade jams, waffels, crêpe, necklaces, caps, glowing stars and a lot more . We will also have an info booth to present our projects. The money raised goes to 100% towards our projects.

Consultations at our oftalmology clinic
Still day 9 of our Madagascar trip:
In the afternoon we went to our ophtalmology clinic’s site, where we met up with Dr. Parfait. He gave us an insight into his work with the patients he treats free of charge.

Repaired wheelchairs
Day 9 of our Madagascar trip:
This afternoon we could return the repaired wheelchairs to their grateful owners. Thanks to our local team’s great work the wheelchairs look like they were new and work again.

2nd visit at the program to support women

Today we went to the workshop where women learn to weave bags and hats. We bought some and will sell them at local markets and events here to get donations.

New mattresses for the orphanage
Day 9 of our Madagascar trip:
A couple of days ago we went to the orphanage. Looking around we saw that some matresses had to be changed (they were torn, broken and dirty). So today we went to buy some new ones and brought them to the kids.

Teaching at the orphanage
Still day 7 of our Madagascar trip:
In the evening we went back to the orphanage, where we gave lessons to the children. Today’s classes consisted of basic maths for the young kids as well as English vocabulary and conjunctions.
The kids were very motivated and concentrated. It was great fun teaching them!

Day 7 of our Madagascar trip:
Today we wento to the lepra village again. After geting an overview last time, we came with clothes and blankets today. We were especially happy to give them the blankets knitted by a group of women from the “Westerwald” in Germany. Thank you for your colaboration!

Distribution of wheelchairs and walking aids
Still day 6 of our Madagascar trip:
In the afternoon we welcomed a group of handicapped people on our clinic’s site. Each one tried out different walking aids or wheelchairs and were then given the one that they felt most comfortable with.
Some of them came with wheelchairs that were broken but could be repaired. So we kept them to repair and can hopefully return them soon as good as new.
